Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends

Всемирную популярность он получил в 1969 году, исполнив песню битлов "With a Little Help from My Friends" на рок-фестивале.
"With a Little Help from My Friends" ("С небольшой помощью моих друзей") — песня "The Beatles" из альбома "Sgt.

Кавером "With a Little Help from My Friends" Джо Кокер завершил выступление своей группы "Joe Cocker & the Grease Band" на третий день фестиваля Woodstock 1969.
Joe Cocker died Monday at his ranch in western Colorado, the BBC reports. He was 70 years old.

His London-based agent, Barrie Marshall, told the Associated Press that Cocker died early Monday of lung cancer in Crawford, Colo., where he has lived for the past two decades with his wife Pam.

Cocker was best known for a memorable Woodstock performance in 1969 where he covered The Beatles’ With a Little Help From My Friends.

What would you think if I sang outta tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me, hey
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing outta key

Oooh I get by with a little help from my friends
Oooh I get high with a little help from my friends, y'all
Oooh I get by with a little help from my friends

My friends

What do you do when our love is away
Does it worry you to be alone, hey
And how does it feel by the end of the day
Are you sad because you're on your own

Oooh I get by with a little help from my friends
Oooh I get high with a little help from my friends, y'all
Oooh I get by with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody? I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody? I need somebody to love, to love, to love

Would you believe in it's love at first sight
Yes I

Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends (1968)

Cocker sang this at Woodstock, he is only one of two acts who performed at Woodstock to have had a UK #1 hit. The other was Jimi Hendrix, who had a chart topper with "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)."

Legendärer Auftritt von Joe Cocker beim Woodstock Festival am Sonntag, den 17. August 1969.
