George Jones - White Lightning: GEORGE JONES WHITE LIGHTNING 59, WHITE LIGHTNING The Big Bopper 1959 (Originalversion of the famous George Jones song !)

George Jones - White Lightning

A fantastic song about White Lightning (or Mountain Dew, Moonshine, Booze - however you wanna call it !) ! George Jones had a big hit with it in 1959, but here is the FANTASTIC original version by the great Big-Bopper (J. P. Richardson - he wrote the song) .... STOP, LOOK and LISTEN !
Earliest video version? Cliff Crofford Billy Mize - vocals, Gordon Terry - guitar, Jimmy Pruett - Piano Town Hall Party July 18, 1959
Jones had his first country #1 at Mercury Records in 1959 with "White Lightning."

White Lightning was written by none other than rockabilly artist J.P. Richardson better known by his stage name The Big Bopper, George Jones released it on the 13th of April 1959 becoming the first #1 single of his career, this one's been covered by so many it's not even funny, there are just to many to mention, so I'll just say I love this one with Johnny and George, what a duet, enjoy, Dave :)
